About
The Tantrica Ashram Hall is a centre uniquely for women to deepen in their understanding of their spiritual power. Swami Hamsa who is the founder/director of this Ashram facility based in the Himalayan foothills of Northern India.
The Hall is home to the yearly 10 day immersion retreat that forms a part of the apprenticeship program. As well as everyday yogic practice and meditation as daily classes for spiritual travellers visiting the area.
We offer students across the globe the opportunity to undertake a part-time traditional apprenticeship, which is spread over 6 years. This is a specific matriarchal lineage of Himalayan Tantrica practices.
Swami Hamsa lives part of the year at the Hall in the Himalayas and offers Seminars and on-line classes and satsang tuition, through Europe and the united kingdom.
During the autumn season Tantrica Ashram Hall is available for hire to other international Yoga and Tantra tutors of high standard.
The Tantrica Hall Trust project began in 2017 and its manifestation is funded totally by donations, and so belongs to the people. We are currently looking for long-term sponsors, who can help fund the Hall completion and facilitate other Trust Seminars with Swami Hamsa Internationally.
All the proceeds from the trainings that Swami Hamsa Jnanananda offers, along with daily classes and Hall, and internationally. Along with Hall Hire proceeds, go towards charitable children’s projects in India, including India
“Childline Phone Service”- for abandoned Indian children.

Accommodation and Hall.
The Tantrica Hall location is in a place called Gallu, above the town of Macleodganj, 20mins from HH Dali Lama home and temple, and many other spiritual institutions, including monasteries, Vipassana Centres. and Yoga Teacher Training Schools. Tantrica Ashram Hall is in a peaceful place, we are situated above the valley in a quiet and ancient Himalayan Pine Forest. it is a tourist location and there is plenty clean international food, available throughout the area. As well as home-cooked food at the Hall accommodation farm kitchen.
The hall and accommodation are available for hire to reputable instructors.
The hall hire is separate to the accommodation hire, on any and all bookings including with Swami Hamsa retreats/ apprenticeships and trainings. We can also recommend other in-expensive rooms available within easy walking distances. For your convenience.
Tantrica Ashram Hall is 50ft long, so can easily house 30 students with Yoga mats. The Hall has bathroom access and is nestling in the side of the foothills, is a humble and clear environment to work in. It has several 6 foot windows that look out over the 100 kilometer view of the Kangra Valley. We also have mesh shutters on each of the windows to give good ventilation and keep insects out.
The Area is at 6000ft above sea level, there for we do not have mosquito or snakes. The main accommodation is situated next to the Hall and is bookable with my Indian business partner Rajesh Sharma. (contact details available.) there is also other accommodation situated higher up the hillside about a 10 minute walk uphill that is part of the Tantrica Ashram site.
The rooms are mostly double or twin rooms ranging from 500 rupees-900rupees per night depending on the season and availability. (so this is under 12 euros per night.) All rooms have fresh warm bedding in low season, marble floors and bathrooms, some have kitchen on request, and others are room only for discounted rates.
Tantrica Ashram Hall Trust has a strict no smoking no drugs and no alcohol policy. Any student or persons staying in the Ashram accommodation found to be breaking these rules will be asked to vacate there room before the end of the next day, and will be asked to leave there training. There are no executions to this.
